- Children’s Issues
We can assist by negotiating with the other party so that agreement can be reached without a Court Case. If the parties can reach agreement, the documents can be posted to the Court for approval.

We can assist by advising you of your rights or obligations once you have commenced living in as a couple. Upon separation if an agreement cannot be reached we can assist by taking action in the Family Court.

Financial Agreement prepared at the commencement of the relationship, during the relationship or when the relationship has broken down.
- Property/Financial Matters
Property settlement can be negotiated with the consent of the husband and the wife. To give effect to a settlement Consent Orders can be filed with the Family Court. Alternatively, the husband and wife can enter into a Financial Agreement. This is not registered with the Court but both parties must have independent legal advice.

Child Support is managed by the Child Support Agency and is given to the resident parent by the non-resident parent. It is paid on a formula according to the taxable income of the non-resident parent. Child Support ceases when the child turns 18 or completes year 12. The Court may be involved when the child is over 18 and has special needs.
